What is Gupt Navratri?

Gupt Navratri, also known as Ashadha Navratri, is a deeply spiritual nine-day Hindu festival dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine divine forms. Unlike the more popular Sharadiya and Chaitra Navratris, Gupt Navratri is observed in secrecy (gupt means secret), primarily by spiritual seekers, tantriks, and devotees who wish to perform sadhana or sacred rituals in solitude.

It is believed that during Gupt Navratri, the divine feminine energy is more accessible for inner transformation, healing, and attaining spiritual wisdom. While it may not be celebrated with grand public festivities, its spiritual intensity is profound.

Gupt Navratri 2025 Dates

In 2025, Gupt Navratri will be observed June 26th to July 4th.

Each day is dedicated to a different form of Maa Durga, such as Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, and so on, culminating in Navami, the ninth day of worship and offerings.

Why is Gupt Navratri Important?
